Reader Question: I can't find a paint to match my kitchen units?

On July 6th, 2008 by Pippa Jameson.

Q: I have beach units in my kitchen and I’m not sure what colour to paint the walls? Can you suggest a shade that would compliment the wooded units?

A: I would suggest a soft and chalky green as this would compliment the light beach units. The colour green also has great calming properties and so this colour will help to create a relaxing place for you to cook and unwind . Cream would then make a great third/highlighting colour, you could introduce this with your chinaware and soft furnishings. Try the following paint companies: Farrow & Ball, Dulux heritage range, Kelly Hoppen, The Little Greene paint company, Zoffany paints.
