Back to work

I’ve been back at work for a week now and it’s been good but manic! I am really missing my baby but dare I say I do love being back in the office…guilt! So, workwise we are quoting for an advertising job which will be five room sets ups-probably a set build rather than a [...]

I managed to do two solid days of Christmas press shows and really liked some of the things on show. John Lewis had a particulary gorgeous selection as did The White Company. One key look this christmas white and lots of it! Styling- we have the Post Office shoot next week and them I off [...]

Only 4 weeks until I am back to work and so its full speed ahead with the styling. We have a large makeover project for a corporate client and then a shoot for The Post office through DMB Media (the same agency we worked with for the Sainsbury’s shoot). The creative team for this job [...]

Sainsbury’s shoot

I am feeling rather happy and inspired this week as I have been shooting again. I was offered a job that I really wanted to do and I thought as I’m back to work in 6 weeks I had better start saying ‘yes’ to work rather than giving it away to other stylist friends. It [...]

PJI featuring on The Ideal Home Show's website….coming soon

On February 24th, 2009 by Pippa Jameson.

I am currently writing a feature for The Ideal Home Shows website talking about companies that offer something different when It comes to recycled homeware and demonstrate that you can buy gorgeous home accessories that are environmentally friendly.   I will post a link to the feature when it’s published so that you can have a look at the companies and products featured but until then here is a sneak preview of the type of products I will be featuring.

This unusual yet stylish piece is from Nigels Eco Store.  It’s called Rock’n'Roll and is a unique eco-shelving system made from specially sourced paperboard rolls, and then velcro’d together.  You can vary how many circles you use and the order in which they are arranged. At £186.99, it’s cheaper than a conventional shelving unit.

*Look out for the link to purchase tickets to The Ideal Home  Show…coming soon on my Blog.

Valentine gift special

On February 10th, 2009 by Pippa Jameson.

With valentines day fast approaching, I thought I would give you a round up on the lovely accessories I have been sent information on.  I will also be posting some tips on how to style a valentines table…

I absolutely love this grey felt water bottle with a sweet embroidered red heart.  I have a similar one and it makes such a difference to cuddle this rather than boiling rubber!  It’s from a company called dotcomgiftshop and is priced at £12.95.  Their website is pretty good and has lots of sweet heart themed accessories.  They range from glass trinket boxes to this wooden chest; another favorite.  It would look great as a bathroom cabinet or used in the kitchen for all of your herbs and spices.  The fact that it is white means it won’t date that quickly.

I just had to share this with you as I think it’s so lovely.  It’s a hand carved Oak Swing with the words “Daisy Daisy give me your answer do, I’m half crazy all for the love of you”.  It’s not cheap at £270 but as it’s oak it should last and weather well.  It would also make a sweet present for a birthday or christening.  My sister is called Daisy…maybe I should suggest that my brother in-law buys it for her valentines present…! It’s from a company called Swings and Pretty Things.

If you are just looking for a little gift then these leather heart key rings from Ecotopia are quite cute.   I think I would have one of these regardless of whether it’s Valentine’s day!  The reason why I like them so much (aside from the colours) is that they are fair trade and under £3!

Forget chocolates or flowers, why not buy your loved one something a little different this Valentines.  This stylish tea light holder from Grand Illusions would look lovely as a set of three hanging in the garden.

The Spring/Summer months will be here before we know it and this would cast such a pretty light whilst enjoying some AL Fresco dining.  Not bad for £9.95…
