Here is the moodboard I designed for the pop stills shoot I am working on. I always design them for shoots as it provides a good visual for all the team (make-up artist, photographer client etc). This particular shoot is for an up and coming singer and the shots will be used for her album cover as well as promotional material. The moodbaord should represent; attitude, confidence and beauty all in one. The location will be The Cinnabar in Manchester and is being shot by photographer Simon Iredale who wants to go for a David LaChapelle feel.

I’ve just discovered a new application for the iphone and had to share it with you. Color Expert is basically an intuitive, interactive colour wheel that has all the Pantone colours. It can be used to choose and play around with different colour schemes or simply as a reference tool. Really handy if you are out sourcing props or styling room sets and need a colour chart. Or even in a meeting with clients deciding on colours for a shoot…..every designer needs one!

PART 3) SIMPLE UPDATES
If you are selling or renting your home then try and make sure it looks up to date with the latest decor. You don’t have to go crazy and re-decorate your whole home as little touches here and there will do the trick. I know you have heard it a million times but it is best to keep the look simple. Stick to neutral colours for the walls and just add interest with your accessories.

Accessories: You can update the look of your home with fairly inexpensive accessories. Hide away all of the clutter and then add simple key touches.
