Morning all,
I don’t normally write about jewellery but when something really special comes to my attention I have to share it with you. The Shop is a new online store that sells internationally sourced designer jewellery that has a unique boutique and edgy feel. But best of all it’s so affordable! When you think ‘designer’ you think expensive but all of these pieces are under £100 and start from as little as £25……love it, love it, love it!!!

I don’t know about you but I am totally obsessed with open fires and wood-burners! Whenever I walk down the street and come across the smell of burning wood, I literally stop in my tracks and start to go all sentimental; thinking of all things homely. My husband thinks I am mad!! As we are house hunting at the moment, I am adamant that it needs to have a fireplace. If you are thinking about investing in a a new fire or just looking for some inspiration of how to make a wood-burner to work within a fireplace, then here are few of our favourites from Morso….more to follow.

With winter closing in we are all looking for ways to keep our homes cozy and contain the heat. For this reason we thought now would be a good time to publish a feature on curtains and blinds.
Knowing what to buy can be a tricky task as there is so much to choose from. You also have to try and work out the measurements. Over the next few weeks we will be looking at various styles, offering you the chance to win your own set of curtains as well as publishing a genius step by step video from The Natural Curtain Company showing you how to measure up for curtain tracks, curtain poles and roman blinds…we hope you enjoy the features.

The above images are from Luxaflex, they have a huge selection of Roman blinds which are suitable for any room in the home. I particularly like the pleated blinds above as they maintain privacy while still allowing in some light. If you’re looking for a blind with an elegant pattern then the design below may be a good option. The blinds are from The Natural Curtain Company. The pattern itself is fairly traditional and yes it look beautiful as a back drop to this modern livingroom.

This glamorous look is so now now now! It’s all about brights and the best thing is it’s all from the very affordable BHS.
The basic rule to apply when decorating is to stick to a maximum of two colours (you can use various shades of this colour within the scheme) and then introduce a third texture for the furniture. In this image they have used glass but white high gloss or modern dark wood furniture would have worked equally as well. You can buy all the items in store now.
