Colour Blocking trend for 2009/2010…continued

On June 15th, 2009 by pippa.

Back in January 2009 I posted trend predictions for 2009/2010.  One of the stories I wrote about was ‘Colour blocking’ and how it would start off as a fashion trend and then slowly filter down into the interiors market.  Well, I have just attended  the Exclusively Housewares trade show at The Business Design Centre where there was a huge selection of gorgeous homeware accessories and ‘Colour blocking’  a plenty’!Kitsch, Pippa Jameson Interiors

My first example is from a stylish homware company called Jospeh Joseph.  They have a brilliant range of user freindly kitchenware (available through John Lewis). I’d say it was a cross between Paul Smith and Alessi-gorgeous!  They range from brightly coloured chopping boards through to a set of vibrant magnetic measurung spoons.  We have just bought one of their bright glass chopping boards for home.

More block colours from Bambu’s wooden bowls.  Each one has been shaped by hand and then lacquered with one of their dazzling colour options (9 colours to choose from).Â

Villeroy & Boch’s latest range is called Vivo, One Shot.  They comprise of 3 different sized storage jars which  are all white with a brightly coloured air tight lid.  From tango orange through to zesty lemon; take your pick!   I have always loved their chinaware and so it was great to see them break away from the modern classic look into something a little more adventurous.

Finally, I wanted to show you Ella Doran’s new range from Churchill China, very cute.
