Presenting the Christmas Video shoot & online shop

On October 18th, 2010 by .

We’ve finished the filming of the Christmas viral!!  It was a full on shoot with an extremely tight schedule but the client was very happy which is all we can wish for.  I wrote the script for the video and did all the syling but I was also the prestenter (!!)  A big thank you to Sophie Bell who was on work experience with me that day, I hope you have recovered and haven’t been put of styling!  They are working on the edit this week and we should have the first drafts through soon.  Below are some pics from the day.

Other projects on the go are styling and planning an exhibition space, styling a Spring/Summer 2011 press show and planning the launch of our online shop…soooo excited about this!

The unique and beautiful designs of Patricia Fernandes

On October 18th, 2010 by .

It appears ‘Perth Upmarket’ is quickly becoming known as the place to be for new local designers and craft lovers alike, to celebrate their passions for all things arty. I was so encouraged and excited by my visit to the most recent markets, with the discovery of local ceramic artist Patricia Fernandes.
Her beautiful range of printed brooches, earrings, pendants and scarf holders are created by layering traditional Indian patterns onto white porcelain, in a range of sizes and bright colours. Each of these irresistible pieces are unique, and are a wonderfully ornate addition to any bag or outfit.

Speaking with Patricia and learning about how she creates her pieces, I have come to appreciate the lengthy and involved process involved and especially her awareness of her design process and its’ impact on the environment.

Decorex Trends 2010

On October 6th, 2010 by .

TRENDS
It was a great year at Decorex with lots of exciting new products.  The main styles that I saw emerging were ‘Punchy Patterns’ (like the colours below) with a Tibetan/bohemian influence. ‘Luscious Gold’ was another trend that I noticed, this was shown not only with fabrics but also with furniture and accessories.  ‘Texture’ was everywhere to be seen, think organic, natural and simple.  I will endeavour to create a few moodboards for each individual trend and finally ‘Luxury’, think velvet, crystals, silk, fur (hopefully fake!) in pale grey, aubergine and cream.

Below is a picture from Rocio Moreno Textiles, I discovered then at Decorex last week.  They have the most stunning selection of fabrics; really vibrant and punchy.  I will try and publish some more images from their collection next week.  For more of their range visit their website.

Pretty sofas from Ochre

On October 4th, 2010 by .

Ochre is small interiors company that produces warm, luxurious and elegant pieces of furniture and accessories for the home.  Below are just a few pieces from their new collection.  Their sofa’s and armchairs including silk, soft leathers and velvet and the smaller accessorise including mirrors, lighting and cushions are regualry adorned with beading, shells or maybe feathers.  I am really into the velvet sofas below and if I didn’t have children then I most definitely be tempted to buy one.  Maybe a nice velvet armchair for the bedroom could be on the cards…!

New furniture collection from Ghost

On October 1st, 2010 by .

Pippa Jameson Interiors loves the new collection of Ghost furniture.  Each and every piece is found in the flea markets of France and brought back to life in England.  Every design is totally individual and ranges from a 1920′s Collar Chair to a Fringed Table!  The pieces have a humorous and theatrical feel about them and would be perfect as a statement piece for the living room, bedroom or dining room.

This is my absolute favourite, It would look great in the bedroom; so glamorous!

Ghost say: “All the pieces are turned into something hauntingly beautiful with a touch of 21st century eco-chic.”
