Keeping busy whilst on maternity leave

It’s been a busy and exciting month. As well as looking after the newest addition to the family, we are also moving house and juggling work. Why is it that everything always happens at once!

New baby & interview with Laurence Llewelyn Bowen!

Our beautiful baby girl has arrived! As predicted, she was one week early and is absolutely perfect. It’s day 6 and she is still having a massive sleep fest – hence me being able to blog! We have lots of really exciting projects on the go at the moment. The first is our exciting interview with Laurence Llewelyn Bowen by our Shopping Contributor Liz Danon.

Update on pub renovation

The pub renovation job is going well. I met with the Builder today to discus my ideas and show him the room plans I have designed. They are due to start ripping out the old rooms in a few weeks and then the fun starts! We are now designing 6 rooms rather than 5 as apparently if you have 6 rooms or more then you can class yourself as a hotel. This in turn means you can be listed in all the good hotel guides and hopefully gain star ratings.

After completing a degree in interior architecture at Brighton University I worked in London as a marketing and events coordinator. My passion for design persisted as I began some freelance interior design for a couple of clients where I managed the design from conception on some very creative projects, including a re-design for a hotel bar and reception area on Brighton seafront and a design for a lingerie boutique off Bond Street in London.  I love the freedom of design and styling, ranging from temporary structures at music festivals to sleek home interiors.  My passion for interior styling and functional space means that I am constantly on the look out for new interior accessories, gadgets, colour concepts and innovative design ideas. http://www.elizabethdanon.com
