Image 1: A long walk always blows away the cobwebs and is often where I find so much of my inspiration. Image 2: I love throws; cashmere, mohair, silk and wool, I think I have one in every material! I see it as an essential accessory for every bed and sofa ;0) Image 3: I will try to be as creative as I can at home and at work, I thought this picture demonstrated how something so simple can look so stylish. Image 4: A log fire makes me feel so happy, the crackle and smell of the burning wood brings back Childhood memories from the house I grew up in. It’s amazing how something can bring so much comfort. Image 5: Spring planting, this is the year when I plan to start my vegetable patch, a little way of I know but I love the idea of using these little sticks in the ground. 6: My family inspires me every day xx

All of the images below are from the Bloomsbury range, a pattern originally launched in 1987 and adapted to todays trends.  For me, this was the collection that stood out the most at the press show, it’s colorful, fresh and exciting and is sure to be a hit.  Away with the beige and in with the colour!

When it comes to wall displays you don’t have to stick to conventional set-ups, think about what you are hanging and try to have a little fun. Our styled collection has a retro feel, with most of the items having been up-cycled or restored. We started by painting the wall in a rich grey, this created the perfect backdrop to the punchy reds and bright mustard. It may not be your obvious choice for the wall, but this demonstrates that with the right light and accessories, slate grey can look striking and above all, warm.

My favourite item is the handmade peg rail which has been made from old yard sticks, genius. We used the Command picture hanging strips to attach it to the wall, just make sure you check the weight of the products against the back of the Command packet. All products wall are from the fabulous Home Barn, they sell a mixture of home accessories that have been lovingly restored and transformed into very cool and individual pieces.

Recently I have seen some really creative and interesting ways to incorporate bed heads into a room, and they aren’t necessarily expensive or your typical idea of what a headboard might be. These inspiring ideas are a fantastic reminder that things can be done in a different and inexpensive way, to achieve stylish and unique results!

Tips on vintage styling:
- Use old medicine bottles as vases, clear glass look best.
- Use old french linen as a tablecloth, embroidered edging looks super cute.
- Hang vintage bags on door knobs or if you have one, on the corner of your metal bedstead.
- Shabby chic some old pine chairs, take a look at our guide on ‘How to Shabby Chic furnitre’.
- White metal bird cages are still a firm favourite, try filling one with tea-lights and hang it above your dining table as a feature light.

To make this lampshade, you will need…

-Table lamp
-Old metal frame lampshade
-Collection of buttons various sizes
-Wire and cutters

-Remove the fabric cover from your lampshade.
-Sort the buttons into groups by size, the buttons will graduate from small to large as they move down the lampshade but you can create any formation.
-Cut a long length of wire, wrap several times around the bottom edge of the frame make sure the wire is secure.
-Thread some of the larger buttons onto the wire, gradually using the smaller buttons until you have reached the top edge of the lampshade frame. -Pull the wire taught and wrap around the top edge.
-Thread the smaller buttons onto the wire, increasing the size of buttons until you have reached the bottom edge,
-wrap the wire to secure. Repeat this process until you have covered the whole lamp.
